Hello!
I'm Tracy, a leather artist with decades of experience in fine art and design. I'm drawn to work that's beautiful and meant to be used, and leather is where those two things meet.
It started in 2017 with a wither strap for my daughter's new horse and a box of leather making tools from my husband's late, great-uncle Sonny. Today, I run Simpson Custom Leather, making custom pieces for riders and collectors. Everything is handcrafted by me from start to finish, one-of-a-kind and built to last.
I also ride, so I know what tack goes through. I spend time in the arena and on the trail, and I build with that in mind. A piece should look good, and it should hold up to real use. I only work with the best materials including Hermann Oak leather because it takes tooling beautifully and wears well for years.
If you have a project in mind, or just the start of an idea, I'd love to hear about it. Send me a message and we'll talk it through.
